This segment of the SH 121 corridor is currently
a 4 lane divided asphalt roadway. The facitlity will be improved to a
freeway section with 3 main lanes and 3 frontage road lanes in each direction.
Interchanges will be constructed at Marsh Lane / Spring Creek Parkway,
Plano Parkway/Paige Road, Josey Lane/Main Street and Standridge Drive.
The freeway will overpass the Burlington Northern railroad at the east
end. The KCS railroad will overpass SH 121 at the west end of the project.
The improvements will continue east to tie to the proposed future interchange
at the Dallas North Tollway in the Frisco \ Plano area.
